We provide Houston’s homeless with food, gently used clothing, and the resources that will help them in finding medical help, shelter, employment, and eventually housing – getting them off the streets.
We currently meet Sunday mornings and other random days during the week as perishable items are donated. We prepare the meals together then drive around Houston (and surrounding communities) looking for those in need that can’t get to soup kitchens or shelters.
2010 we served 5,000 meals in our first year and almost doubled that in 2011.
As the 2012 year approaches we are looking to expand our serving area, *improve* our serving menu, expand our volunteer base, and reach out to new donors.

Side note: We are currently in need of climate controlled STORAGE SPACE, water, peanut butter, dry pasta, pasta /tomato sauce, Wal-Mart or Sam’s gift cards which will be used for perishables and gas, toiletries (travel size preferred- it makes easier for transport- but any kind will do!) , clothing, blankets, socks and summer style clothes.
All donations are tax deductible and GREATLY appreciated.
Our friend and Volunteer Mike Calimbas made this video. It’s kinda like… A morning in the life of volunteering with us. (Note: This was before we served hot food and handed out toiletries.)
Thank you! We are having a garage sale this weekend to raise funds. If you have clothing or items to donate I can pick them up W/T/F! If you email me we can talk further. amber.rodriguez@noahskitchen.org

Where can I drop off clothing or goods to your organization? I am a mom of 3 so my schedule is pretty busy. I live in the NW side of town.
Thanks,
Susan
