The first handout of the month we will meet promptly at 9am at Jenni’s Noodle House in the Heights.
The second handout of the month will be our Conroe/Montgomery County handout. We will meet at 10:30 am at a location to be disclosed soon! We’re still working out the details but we will keep you posted on here and on Facebook. As in the beginning with our Houston handouts this will be a learning/discovery process. There’s a large homeless population out here, 3,000 on any given night and approximately 650 of those are children.
If you are interested in participating please allow yourself around 3-4 hours to “give back” with us and the requirements are pretty simple: You must be at least 18 or have a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian to participate (We have these on hand when you join us) . Please dress comfortably, wear tennis/close-toed shoes, and please try and leave your valuables/jewelry at home. We’ve never had a problem but you can never be too careful!

Dates for 2012 are listed below and we may have volunteer opportunities/events added, moved, or canceled at any time. Also, if you have a group, team, church group, student council, boy scouts, etc… that you would like to sign up for one of these dates please email me so I can reserve/schedule the handout for you.

If you have any ideas/event ideas on collecting WATER, peanut butter, dry pasta, pasta /tomato sauce, Wal-Mart or Sam’s gift cards, toiletries (travel size preferred but any kind will do!), clothing, blankets, jackets and or monetary donations PLEASE let me know!
